He's potentially better than Slaton. Devine has been nothing short of amazing, you hold your breath every time he touches the ball. WVU now has the best trio in the nation(Devine, White, Slaton), and can beat anyone in the Big East. If the defense can keep improving than watch out!
Even forgetting about White -- just for a second -- WVU has the best duo in the country. Slaton and Devine can now best guys like Davis/Spiller and McFadden/Jones. Add in Pat White and Owen Schmitt and this is unprecedented talent.
