Since Charley handles the macho stuff, I thought I'd mix it a tad.
This upcoming season the women's basketball team has a chance to be good. Very good, in fact. They have most of their roster back from a NCAA tourney run last year, plus the return of Meg Bulger, who should be fully recovered from her knee problems. To get a jump start on the season, Coach Carey is taking the team to Australia for a five game tour of the country. Here are the games:
August 8 – Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
WVU vs. New South Wales Institute of Sport, 6 p.m. (3 a.m. EST)
August 9 -- Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
WVU vs. Manly Sea Eagles, 7 p.m. (4 a.m. EST)
August 10 -- Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
WVU vs. ABA Select, 7:30 p.m. (4:30 a.m. EST)
August 13 – Cairns, Queensland, Australia
WVU vs. Cairns, 7 p.m. (4 a.m EST)
WVU vs. Cairns, 11 a.m. (8 p.m. EST)
Thus concludes this blog's obligatory post on preseason women's basketball. Stay tuned next week when Charley breaks down the upcoming rowing season. Or not.
