With WVU off this week, it's a perfect day to just lay around and watch college football. To that end, here is a quick cheat sheet on who to root for today:
1. Wisconsin over Ohio State (P.J. Hill needs to play for Wisconsin to have a chance)
2. Florida State over Boston College (Ugh, it's tough to root for Florida State)
3. Alabama over LSU (C'mon this will be easy-root for the West Virginia guy)
4. Arizona State over Oregon (Tough game to call, but Arizona State has the harder remaining schedule between the two, therefore gotta pull for the Sun Devils)
5. Texas A&M over Oklahoma (Note to Coach Fran: Get the ball to that Lane kid. He's good)
6. Nebraska over Kansas (OK, I don't any hope for this game)
Obviously, one team ahead of WVU is going to lose. To make this a nice day, at least one more team needs to lose. Most likely in my opinion? LSU and BC.

2. #8 in the preseason AP basketball poll, Michigan State lost to Division II Grand Valley State last night in exhibition. First Michigan loses to Appy St., although it is noted they were Hot Hot Hot, and now this? What is going on up there in the mitten? You'd expect more from a state whose state fossil is the Mastadon.
3. I know this isn't an NBA blog, and I'm surprised Stiles has yet to mention the K-eltics up in Boston, however, this quote from West Virgina's own Mike D'Antoni was priceless after Phil Jackson called a timeout with 4 minutes remaining in a game the Lakers were already winning by 33.
''Yeah, I was pretty upset,'' D'Antoni said. ''I thought he disrespected our players. But he likes to play the mind games and that's fine. He might want to try to do it in playoff time when we bust them every year.''
To point #3: How bout what Jackson said to D'Antoni after he called the timeout and D'Antoni was complaining: Jackson looks at him and says "What the fuck is wrong with you? Sit down!"
And how bout them Hawks?

The only problem with rooting for Alabama is that Saban is a lying scum bag.
